What are the religious pieties  (Daanam)
 to be offered  for the Nava Grahas ?


According to our Sastras like Vedas and Mythologies ,

 it is said clearly the Danam (religious offers )

 for  the Navagrahas for the relief of toubles,

 and sufferings of human beings.


 Every human being is born with troubles and sorrowfulness.

Man is  a social human being.


He seeks the remedy for his troubles and

wants to get away from them and for peace and happy life.


He borns with many faiths and sentiments.


As per Sastras and  Puranas, it was said,

for the worshipping of Grahas,

 Arkha (Calotropis gigantea) for the Sun,

Palasah (flame of the forest or Butea frondosa)

for the Moon,  Chandra ( a lomd pf acacoa tree),

 for Angaraka (kuja), Apaamargah (Uttareni tree),

 for the Budha (mercury), Aswatha (Pipal) ,

for Guru (Jupiter), Udumbara ( species of fig tree) ,

for Sukra (Venus),

the Samee for Saturn (Sani),

 Ganikaa for Rahu and  Kusah (Darbha) for Ketu are to be used.

For the Danas (religious pieties) ....


One Cow (or else idol image) to be offered for the Sun,

 One Conch (Sankhuh) for the Chandra,

One reddish Ox  (Vrushabha) (or else idol image) for the Kuja,

the Gold for the Budha,

the new cloths for the Guru,

One white Horse (or else idol image) for the Sukra,

One black cow ( or else idol image) for Saneeswara,

 the Payasam for the Rahu and

One he-goat for the Ketu to be offered.


And for the remedy of our troubles and sorrowness, 

worship   and make the deities with graciousness, and

 the religious offerings should be given as Danam.
