What is Sandhya Kaalam (Twilight) ?

We know the time means Kaalam.

Actually the Kaalam is meant for Mrutyuh.

The lord of Mrutyh is Yamadharmaraja.

He has got another name Kaalah.

We the Hindus use repeatedly the word

Kaalakshepam in our discussions or any other topics.

Where there is a birth there is certainly death.

“Jaatasyahi Dhruvo mrutyuh”.

The birth is for death.

In between both of them , the time ,

means the life is given for divinity.

Though we live in the Bhava Bandhas (Samsara)

like a lotus we have to live  in this world

by  unattachment  with the samsaram.

Then only the real meaning of Kaalakshepam

can be used for only spiritual  life.

We can conqur the death.

Here, in the usage, when the stars and

the Sun do not shine, that time is called Sandhya Kaalam.

Means, in the morning before the Moon sets and

before the  Sun rises , in  between the time

is known as Sandhyakaalam.

Like wise, in the evening, before the Sun sets and

before the Moon rises, in between the time

 is also called Sandhyakaalam.

Those two Sandhyakaalams are so sacred.

In this sacred Sandhyakaalam, if we do Japa,

Meditation, pranaayaam, chanting of sacred hymns,

and  all the other divine observace gives us

the excellent result and power to mind and heart.
