What are the timings to worship
the  Lord Sun  by the Deities ?

The Scripts say that the Sun God moves so

swiftly in the sky which can not be estimated.

But it is said the Sun travels

one thousand Yojanas in one minute.

In olden days, the distance was used to be

calculated in yojanas. One yojana is equivant

to eight miles. Means  the Sun travels

eight thousand miles in one minutes.

The Astronomical scientists also say in the

Solar system the Sun travels so swiftly.

Now coming to our scripts, the Sun God,

in one minute when He travels one thousand yojans,

he moves  maximum two hundred yojans

and two yojanas minimum.

In the morning time Indra,

the lord of Devas worships the Sun God,

in the afternoon the Yamadharmarajamah worships the Sun ,

in the twilight when the Sun sets ,

the Varunh worships Him and

at midnight the deity Chandrah worships the Sun.

So, it is said, that the  religious custom

of praying the Sun God three times a day

and it is called Tri Sandhyavandanam which

we should have to observe

three times a day rightfully without fail.

The Sun God is worshipped in three  names of

Gayatri , Sarita, and  Savitri in different Sandhyas

(twilights).
