Why should not we  keep the oil lamp

 on the floor  for woshipping the God ?

Prayer from our hearts  to the God must be pure .

 All the tensions, sankalpas, impurities etc .,

must be cleaned from the heart

 when we pray to the Lord.

 Whenere the man lives naturally he seeks for the

cleanliness and neatness .

 So, then the man must see to have the purity in his heart also.

Like that, for the worshipping of  the Lord, 

the lighting lamp indicates the Wisdom (Jnana)

which takes away the darkness of ignorance and illusion.

 So when we worship the God (means our own Athma

 which pervades everwhere)  there will not be

any kind of impurities.

Hence, when we lit the lamp for worshipping,

 it should not be placed on the floor.

 The lamp must be kept on any leaf  and

 then offer to the God.

The Earth does have the  high magnetic force.

When we pray the Lord with devotional hymns,

 our devotion and piousness reaches the

 Lord through the lamp which is Jnana (knowledge).

At that moment, the God’s Anugraham  (blessings)

reaches to us  through the lighting lamp while doing prayer,

 the Earth attracts that blessings inside.

Hence, before  doing Japa Saadhana, or meditation

or worshipping the lord, we have to place any

kind of mat, cloth, grass for our sitting posture

 and then do  the devotional practice.
