Why do we sprinkle water on our heads before enter
the temple while washing out feet ?

The Proverbs are so  many and the
quotations are also many, if we see the literature .

“Sarvendriyanaam Nayanam Pradhanam.”

means the eyes are the main sensual organ

 for visualizing the world.

But the head is called as Uttamaangam  means

which is the central point of all the organs.

All the sensual organs have been

created  in the part of head only.

The brain, eyes, nose, mouth, ears

can be seen in the part of head only.

The Uttamaangam which is  head

(Sirah in sanskrit language) is the main cause

for all our thoughts, ideas and actions.

The human being is superior to all

other creatures in this universe.

In all three actions, one should possess

the   trikarana suddhi.

Manasa  Vaacha and Karmanaa , we have to

think, see and do the good only and become Godliness.

Hence, the Uttamaangam, which is head becomes

the central point (kendra bindu) of the human body.

Why do we sprinkle water on our heads before enter
the temple while washing out feet ?

When we visit the temple or before doing

the Pooja or doing any Vratam,  we have

to spatter the pure water on our heads

and become pure and deserved for doing

 the religious observance or rituals.

When we become purer by doing sprinkle

the water on the heads and having  the feelings

of that the God is  the most sacred , and then begin

the Pooja or Vratram and enter the temple for worship the Lord.
