Why do we offer the eyes in the peacock’s feather
which is called a plumage of peacock ( pincham)
to the Lord Siva ?
The Peacock’s plumage ( the feather with the eyes of a peacock)
signifies for the auspiciousness and something right good.
There is no other creature in the universe
with such holyness like the Peacock.
The feather of the Peacock which is called
plumage has got the power to eleminate the
venom (poisonous elements) and the dirt in the air.
The offering the feather of the Peacock ( plumage)
devotionally to the lord Maheswara,
is for receiving the Grace from the Lord.
The Grace of the Lord Siva is more
powerful to nullify our sins and
also other doshas of the unforeseen curses.
Therefore the plumage of the Peacock
( the eyes in the feather ) has been used since
long time in all the Divinful observances,
in the religious rituals and also in the worhsip of the God .
