In which plates or leaves the Prasadam
(Nyvedyam) is offered to the God ?

The life is for the rememberance of the

God constantly for attaining the emancipation.

So many ways are said to follow for realizing the God

which is in our Athma and also all pervading.

Karma, Bhakti, Jnana, Vairagya are  main sopaanaas

(steps) to know the Athmaanandam which is eternal.

Even in the materialistic life, in the

Karma marga, every day the Japa,

 worshipping the God (Pooja etc)

 must be performed without fail.

In the Pooja , the Naivedyam

is offered to the Lord .

Means whatever is given to us in  this

world it is  achieved from the Parameswara only ,

but not from any one, hence we  offer

some Naivedyam on account of

highest and humble devotion to Him.

The Nyvedaim may be in the form of Patram,

Pushpam, Phalam etc which is depended

upon our capacity, must be offered

to the God in certain things only.

It is said, for offering the Naivedyam

the plates or vessels should be

made of either gold, silver, copper,

or brass and also on the  lotus leaves,

or plantain leaves or Palasa leaves

(which tree is called flame of the
 forest, i.e., Butea frondosa) or

atleast the plates made of mud (Mrunmaya patra).

In olden days our elders used to follow the

same observance in this aspect.

But the plates should not be made of

either steel or glass which is used

for the Nyvedyam to offer to the God .
