What is the benefit of the Harathi (Arti) ?

With out Harathi there will not be any pooja or worship
to God or Goddess .

Not only that , for any kind of religious functions,
for yagas or homas and in the temples
for every Hindu  sacred customs the Arti is being given.

For example in the Temples, in our pooja mandir
at house, auspicious functions, childrens’ birthdays,
in the marriages, when the new bride enters the
in –law’s house , on somany occasions,
the Harathi is being given.

Where ever the custom of Arti  is observed,
there is a secret behind it.

On all the auspicious occasions,
all the people (friends and relatives) gather at one place.

Like wise, in the Temples , many devotees visit to
have the darshan of God or Goddess.

Because of the collective mass gathering,
the atmosphere gets  polluted.

 So much  bacteriais formed  there.

Because of  Harathi ( lighting the Camphor )
not only observing the auspicious things, also to
cleans the area by destroning the  bacterium.

Due to this the infections and  the lung diseases are controlled.

What kind of food should not be eaten ?

Even though the food is prepared for us to eat,
if that food is touched by Crows, and smelt by the Dog
and also the Cow should not be taken.

Once the food is eaten with milk, next we should not eat curd meal.

We should not eat our meal by  spreading the
legs and also by wearing shoes.

One should not eat his food along  with his wife.

The wife has to take her food next to her husband.

If it happens, the very fist  the husband has to take
his lump and then she can eat with her husband.

When eating one should use his left hand.

The stale food should not be eaten.

And the frozen food  can not be eaten after heating up.

The food which contains number of dish items
is always better  than taking food with a
single curry, dall, pickle, and buttermilk
At younger age, the pickles can be used once
 in 2,3 days.

If the age gets advanced we have to
cut them  to take.

After fifty years, the practice should be restricted and
take the pickles just once in two months or more than that.

After fifty years better to stop take the pickles.

The Power of practical wonders of the name of
Lord Rama (Rama Naama Mahima). Why ?

The name of Lord Rama, has got superior power that
 can do miracles.

The letter “ Ra ” is meant for Agni Beejah
and the letter “  “Ma” is meant for Chandra  Beejah.

In the epic Sree Ramayana, once Vibhishana
(younger brother of Ravanaasura) wanted to send
 a message to Sree Ramachandra.

Then he called a servant  and  asked to handover
the message to Ramachandra.

But Vibhishana was in the Lanka Rajyam and Sree Rama
was in Ayodhya which was on the  other side of the ocean.

So, if any one wants to meet other, they should cross the ocean.

Then the servant said to Vibhishana , “O lord, it is
most impossible thing to cross the ocean, as
I was not at all having that that capacity.

For that, then Vibhishana gave a closed letter  to the
servant and said this can make you cross the ocean
safely and do not open this letter under any circumstances
and return this to me once you get back here.

The servants generally accept the masters’ orders.

This servant rushed with all speed  on the sky to the Ayodhya.

But in the middle, when he was going on the sky,
but he got some doubt what  power is there in
this letter and started to open that .

There was nothing written  than  “ SREE RAMA” on it.

Then the servant surprised with belittlement and
thought of  only this  much word was written on this letter,
nothing greatness  is there  like this he himself thought.

The moment he thought of belittlement about that
word “Sree Rama” immediately the servant fell down
into the ocean from the sky.

He did not have beliefthat Sree Rama nama
has got such a power  which can do any thing in this world.
Belief is mightiness.

The belief gives the strength.
 and courage to the man.

One can not be deceived  by the sacred belief.

The Charity of Education (Vidya danam ) is
greater than all other Charities. Why ?

In general, the Sastras say that  we have to feed the hunger.
Annadanam is greater what it says.

But the Manu Says in his Manu Smruthi the charity of
education (Vidya Danam) is higher than all other charities.

And the result of that charity is also great.

Even a lay man knows by charity one will have the result of
Punyam (merit). The charities are like ... offering water, (Jaladanam),
Annadanam, Bhoodanam, Vastradanam, Suvarna danam, the danam
of daily money to others are all meritorious deeds. But the charity
of Education which is Vidya Danam is higher than those.

Suppose if the provisions, articles, money etc are given to others
like poor , they are useful for them only and also for that day only.

But, if we give the education to others ( if we educate others),
bacause of that education, the receiver who got educattion ,
he will be benefited in his life and also his  entire  family
and next generation will  alsobe so benefited.

There is one proverb, in olden days, make him learn fishing
in the water is higher than  offering a food with delicious fish
curry.

Why the first Ekadasi has got such a superiority ?

We know the Ekadasi Tidhi is more than a festival day
for the religious worship as Vratam.

It is a Spiritual merit for every Hindu.

It is said, the Ekadasi Vratam should be done like this,
as one has to take one time meal at noon before the
Ekadasi tidhi (means Dasami day) and next on Ekadasi day
he should do the fasting and next day  on Dwadasi ,
he should do all the religious deeds and offer the
food to any worthy person , who is a guest like a
Sree Maha Vishnu  and then he has to take his food .

In every month the Ekadasi tidhi comes twice.

Ashadha Sukla Paksha Ekadasi is called as the first Ekadasi (Pradhama)
On this first Ekadasi day, Lord Sree Mannarayana
takes His Yoga Nidra .

Means, Lord Sree Mahavishnu
after the destruction of the world sleeps for certain period
which is a state of supernatural sleep attained by a Yogi.

The Lord sleeps for four months.

Till Kkartika Sukla Ekadasi day,
he will be in the Yoga Nidra.

The Sala Gramas and their power.

The Salagramas are so auspicious and the representation
for the God. They have the divine power.

Suppose,  near the Salagramas , if the Ramayana,
Mahabharata and Bhagavata epics  are read  by the children
and their generation will accquire wealth and also the fame.

Those who worship the  Salagrama stone, with Kumkum or
the Sandal paste or powder and put them on their heads,
they  are really blessed.

And also they eligible for the emancipation.

After the pooja of Salagrama, in the same sacred place if the
Bhagavatam is read, by  the power of both the  devotion and
and the salvation will be achieved
Worshipping the Salagrama (The Salagrama Pooja) is more
pious than by visiting and seeing the Badari Narayana Kshetram.
As Hindu all we believe in rebirths.

The sins which werecommitted in the last births,
the consequences of them will be
 empirical in next births.

But  Lord Sree Mannarayana gave
this Salagrama in this kaliyuga for the
benefit of salvation  from those Sins committed
in previous births. So the Salagramas
are having such a great miracle.

At our  Houses, in the   Devataarchana room , because of
worshipping the Salagrams all other Vastu Doshas
( the house related vastunegatives (offences) will be nullified.

Suppose, by knowinglyor unknowingly if the mistakes are made, t
he results will also be removed by worshipping the Salagrams.
