Which oil  is superior to lit the lamp  for the worshipping the God ?

All of us lit the lamp with oil and do the pooja for the God or Goddess in
normal days and festival times. It is said in scriptures and from the vedic
scholars the customs and duties for that.

The cow’s ghee is the superior than any other  to lit the lamp. The gingily
oil is next best and the least is the oil from Bassia tehfolia
(Ippa Pushpa or Madhuka Pushpa in Sanskrit language) flower.

The result or consequence is the most if we worship the God with cow’s
ghee lamp. It is said those who worship with the cow’s ghee they will be
bestowed by Ashtabhogas and Ashta Iswaryas.

If we worship in the Pramidas (mruddipah in sanskrit language)
made of the Panchaloha or Silver or Mud are the best.

If one who lits  the pooja lamp with the castor  oil , they will get happy
family life and get all other comforts in life.

Under any circumstances one should not do the worship with the
Groundnut oil which is dosha.

If we worship the Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi with the cow’s ghee which is
Gracious for Her.  If we do the pooja with gingily oil lamp for God,
Ganesh (Vinayaka) that would be a  Gracious for Him.
Will the  broken Saalagrams (most sacred stones)  are useful for the worship ?

The Saalagrams are most sacred stones and worshipped as Lord Vishnu. They are the
symbolic for the Lord Sri Narayana. In Orthodox families, the Salagrams are also
being worshipped. In the Hindu Temples they are placed specially before the
God Idols and worshipped.  But the broken Salagrams give negative results in the families.

“ Sputitham putrahaani ssyath, bhgnoshtam buddhi naasanam, Aasthana bhangadam
bhagnam durduram klesakaaranam bhaavaham bhagna seershamatisthoolam
dhanaapaham, atihrasva mapoojarham trikolam bandhunasan  ”

The broken Salagramas give harmful to the progeny. The Salagrams which are broken
in the upper part, plunder the intelligency. The Salagrams which have sratches will be the
reason for the grief.

The broken head part of the Salagrams make the fearness in different aspects. If the
Salagrams are stout are the result for money loss. If they are thin will not be useful for the
worship.

But the Salagrams which are having Chakras even though they are broken or having
any scratches, they are most useful for the worship
Is the  Number “ 7 ”   symbolic for  lamentation in the Numerology ?

All of us have the beliefs. They may be beased on the scripts, may be on  the words of our scholars and eleders and other sacred texts. Some how we have also the belief in the sentiments.  Even though, some people those  who believe in the Atheism, they will also have some kind of sentimental feelings. Totally we all have inborn feelings regarding some beliefs.

Most of the people believe the Numerology also. They choose only some numbers in their selections. Suppose,  for their vehicles some select particular no. like 9, some select 5, some choose 6 and so an. Like that every one has their own feelings and sentiments for selections for their things. For the dates also, they do certain work on that particular date.

But some people do not like to opt the number “ 7 ”. Why, means, they feel it gives the result of sadness. Particularly in India, in some states,  some people do not have positive opinion about the number  “ 7 ”  which is  for lamentation.
But, if we see in certain things the “7” is  auspicious and divineful. Let us analyse, the Tirupati, the Holy Place, is treated as Kaliyuga Vaikuntham. That Tirumalai has got seven hills which is known as . Saptagiri. The Lord Venkateswara (Balaji)  is being worshipped devotionally. The God Sun has got Chariot which has seven horses. From the Earth Bhooloka there are seven lokas under the earth and seven lokas above the Earth. The Dweepas (Islands) are seven. The Saagaras (Oceans) are seven. In the Hindu Marriage there is custom that both the bride and groom unitedly walk only Seven Steps which is called  Saptapadi. The God Agni (the Fire) has got seven tongues. In the Art of Music, there are seven Swaras (Notes), called Sapta Swara (Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da and Ni and repeated). In our Human bodies, according to the Yoga Sastra, there are seven chakras starts from Kundalini. There were Seven famous  Sages in the Mythologies  (Sapta Rishis). In the Astrology the main planets are seven excluding Rahu and Ketu. Like wise many examples are there.

Some people have the negative opinion about the Number “7”. But that number is also good. In the creation of the God every thing is given for the benefit and good for us. By  using the methods, the results will be begotten to the human beings.
What are the things that give fame to us ?

In the our lives most of us, somehow or not every one thinks that he/she should get fame in their lives. How  can the fame occur ? Without doing the goodness to others those who are in need, the fame (praise) will not be begotten. So we must have good and magnanimous heart. Unless that goodness  no one is praised even for certain time. Here in our ancient scripts, it says, certain things make the men shine with the fame for ever.

Normally we feel and think we should be wealthy. Where there is money or wealth or power normally by nature there is every possibility to have   lust, pride and vices.  But by fornately if we are blessed with the wealth,  if we are decent and cultured by  our good nature and noble mind , surely there will be status and elderlyness and respected by others.

So  by the wealth the decency and respect will be got. By generosity the fame should come. By the sweet and friendly advise, the world will be hypnotised, by humility one will get status. By virtues the wealth will be begotten. By authority and power the capacity and the experience will be got.
What are the useful things when necessary arises ?

In  the Vedic Scriptures and the other classical texts it is explained  many alms and theorems about the life for the ultimate happiness to all . We know in our lives, suppose if we deposit some money in the Bank, that amount will be useful in future for our necessaries. Like that if we protect the things and life that is more useful in our future lives.

Here, we can see, suppose, if the money is saved or kept in  a virtuous man, that money can be got back without any loss. Because, that  man has virtues which he does not do any deceipt or does not do any perfidy to the other person. Hence the money is safe to get back.

The children who are begotten in the early age will be benefit at the right time  to us. The benevolence which we do to others will be more useful to us in future for the necessary. If we are educated at the right time and the education which we have is most useful in our lives for our livelihood. Hence if think why the above useful things give most happiness and peace to all of us, certainly we can accept there is truth in that theorems.
Why the circumambulation (Pradakshinam) is restricted in the Lord Siva Temples (Sivalayas) ?

Lord Maheswara is the lords of the Devas. The Deity Ganga dwelsl  on Maheswara’s Jathajutha (plaited hair) . From the Siva’s Jathajutha, the Ganga flows on to the Himalayas and then on  to the earth.

When we do the  coronation (Abhishekam) to the Lord Siva, the water of Ganges flows through  His pedestal which is Peetham and then  flows  from the  way arranged to the  outside.  Suppose, if we do the circumambulation (Prakashinam), we will have to  cross that water of Ganges which is Dosham (apacharam = against to the custom). And more over that sacred water which is done for the Coronation to the Lord Maheswara.  Therefore, in the temples of Lord Siva the Pradakshinam is restricted. Some devotees do the Circumambulation in the Apasavya (Anti clock wise direction)way without crossing that Abhisheka Jalam which comes out from the inner temple (Garbha gudi)  for avoiding  that Dosham.
